Blog2026 ≫ Nice day again today

Yesterday the temperature supposedly dropped a couple of days but think we're heading back into heatwave here. If it is warm and sunny already, here about 8am. I have already driven wife to the station, so I can do some shopping at lunch. I'm owed some hours off, which I probably should have just claimed the pay for, but I'm knackered and want the week to end. It's an easy day today but I'll finish early, take the car back to the station, and then walk to the Clarendon to meet my friend. He's been not drinking for a few weeks so will be good to catch up.

Boys still in bed. T1 likely to stay there most of the day, but T2 is planning to go to Canterbury with friends on the bus. He has a new found sense of independent, it is partly sparked by the free bus travel he gets over the summer.

Both boys went out on the bike yesterday, and so did I! All three of us, but not like The Goodies. At different times on the same bike. We have blown the cobwebs off dad's old mountain bike, pumped the tires up, and it's good for another year.

Now, shower, coffee, and to work.

Sunny and a gentle breeze, 12 - 23℃.

Estimated 3378 ☕️ from my espresso machine 1 probably comes to 77.7p a cup (including 4+ years of the actual coffee and now servicing 1 so not the 'leccy).
