There isn't really a part three to our stay in Ramsgate. We got up early, had breakfast, and walked the boy up to the surgery. I bimbled around with my wheely case, as I had a fixed train ticket I couldn't use until eleven. I went to the George IV memorial gardens and had a look at the Italianate Greenhouse from a distance, it wouldn't be open until later. I sat on the promenade and finished my book, then meandered back to the station. Thought about going in a cafe but it was covered in St George flags so did not. There's still a lot of this round there. It actually rained while I was walking back, quite unexpected and weird. Haven't felt rain for weeks, or possibly months. Sat at the station reading until time for my train, and was back home to start work at lunchtime. Saved a bit of holiday by having half days.
Picked T1 up who got the train back by himself. I think he's had a great few days, experienced a lot, spoke to a lot of people. We had a great couple of days, spending time together eating and talking.
Family have gone out, not sure where. I fixed up my bike so T2 could ride it, and this has inspired a trip out after dinner. I already had my pyjamas on though. If he gets on OK with this we will buy him a new bike I think, or at least I will go halves with him. I won £150 on the premium bonds, but I kind of need that to pay off the other expenses of this month so I have a clear run at our holiday. Next month he can get a bike, or we might push it back to his birthday. He wants one NOW though while the weather is good, so this seems like a good compromise. And oh yeah the weather is still very very good.
I'm tired now, and I have to be up by half five. Not going in to the office this week but I have to be up early to test something going live at that time. Well, I don't have to be, someone else was going to do that but I volunteered so as to have a good solid reason not to be in the office.
A quiet rest of the week, and a relatively quiet weekend I think.
