Blog2026 ≫ I spent a lot yesterday, feeling poor

So just the day to buy first class train tickets between continental cities then! Done it, this holiday is go!

More details later, I can't say too much where or when until I'm back in case you rob my house.

We also booked our own excursion on the holiday too, looked at some packages going to a place we want to see but we're doing it under our own steam instead. Booked all the entry tickets already, got the times we wanted, and we have a bit more flexibility than if we were waiting for a coach. On the last three holidays we've done trips out in a coach and there have been annoying bits to each of them. Annoying for me anyway, probably not for the others. In Morocco we took a detour via soap factory that we had no interest in, "convenient toilet stop" my arse, come to my cousin's gift shop more like. In Italy it was just too much driving to try and fit in three towns in one day, and T1 was travel sick. In Singapore it was ok, but I do remember the running around picking up from other hotels, even in a small minibus, not ideal, seems to waste a stack of the day. So this time we're doing it with trains and taxis. Saving a bit of money and getting a lot more flexibility.

Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze, 15 - 23℃.
