Been really enjoying this hot weather. Didn't have to commute into the London office, and it's been cool working in my semi-basement study. I've done some really cool work this week, got some processes running automatically that I can just approve, instead of having to do them myself and ask someone else to approve. This has been in the planning for about two years. It's not done using AI, it's just regular scripting and automation, but having the AI there did help me write it and give me the confidence to put it live. Then aside from the actual work it's been beautiful every time I stepped outside. We have had free Octopus Energy ¹ but also of course the washing has been drying beautifully on a rack on the balcony.

Have had a couple of pub trips out, to The Bell last night for a change, was very quiet there. Also we had our tea of noodles out in The Hope in the week, with some very nice real ale there too. There are other pubs that can be good!

Off to London today, like a fool in this heat. It's different when it's for fun though. First we're going shoe shopping in Stratford, then the others head home and I'm off to Camden to see The Dogs D'Amour with Andy. I could have got back tonight (probably, as long as I didn't fall asleep on the last train or anything) but he would have struggled, so we've booked a hotel. Also means we can watch the England vs Panama football.

There was really heavy rain in the night, it's all turning to steam now. Can see the water vapour rising from the roads already.

This time last year I was at Glastonbury. That would have been fun in this heat and with more mad storms possibly on the way. I was at an Atom Seed gig thirty-five years ago today, crikey. It's longer than that since the first time we saw The Dogs D'Amour...
