Blog2026 ≫ 50% hit rate on the Chipolo trackers

My new Chipolo cards arrived. These are the credit card sized tracking tags. I already have one of the older ones in my wallet and one in my work bag so I mostly know where they are. I bought two more, as it's the best of the Chipolo options because it has a rechargeable battery. The new ones have wireless charging too, so I don't even need to remember where the weird usb charging cable is like with the previous two.

Only problem is, only one of these works. Only one will pair with my phone and actually be trackable. I tried everything, you can reset them, reset the phone etc. I tried Chipolo support, they suggested more things, mad things, oh yeah maybe it's my wifi affecting it. Of course not, one of these is just faulty. So there's a replacement on the way.

I got a confirmation that I will get a refund for that small Portsmouth Uni pension in five working days, so at least that's some money in. I had better save it, as if it had stayed in the actual pension, small though it was.

Then more things to look forward to, a long weekend, and it'll be premium bonds prize day right after that. Just got the working week to get through, and I suppose I'd better go back to London this week.

A clear sky and a fresh breeze, 8 - 15℃.
