Blog2026 ≫ Only £66 quiz prize

Awesome day out at Billericay beer festival yesterday, some good real ales from Billericay brewery. A great day out, an early train to Billericay via Stratford. Learned a new hack for a quick change at Stratford onto the mainline at the other end of the shopping centre, if you take the rear exit from our high speed train it brings you out half way through Westfield shopping centre. Cafe breakfast, then loads of beer with friends, then a train back again about five o'clock. Walked down to The Ship in Sandgate for tea, more beer, and a quiz. Strangely quiet turnout, it has been packed the last two times. So quiet that they switched the prizes round so first prize was dinner for the team next time and second prize was sixty-six pounds in takings. Boys were pleased that we came second as that means actual cash for them.

T1 is now a prefect, he got a special badge and tie and he can give his brother detention...

Pay day today, and a day off. Thinking of buying myself a new coat. Also going to the dentist again in a bit. No problems, just worked out this way. I said I had the dentist last week it was actually the hygienist, today is the proper dentist. Then to the shop, possibly find some useful things to do today, then back to the Potting Shed. A lovely day all round.

Light rain and a moderate breeze, 4 - 11℃.
