Thinking of changing the linking on these posts so for example only the first mention of something like coding or programming on the post links to coding or programming and not the second and third versions of coding etc... can you see what I have done there? Deliberately mentioning coding several times in this post to test it. No-one is following the links, not sure they always work, and too many links in the text is probably distracting. When you first see this it will have all the links but if I get time later I'll have done some work on it.
Oh and to make this actually about coding, I used agentic ai to do some of my work for the first time this week. It's actually frightening. I was scared of it before doing it, it's clearly going to automate my job away. I'm still not sure how much it really costs, how mmuch energy it is using, but it's impressive to see. I had to set something up, enabled one of our new systems in another system, this is a simple task of generating an id, adding it to a file in another system. I said "do this thing please", and it said er, not sure how to do that, and so I said "look at my work history and do this thing how I did it last time", and it said ok, and it did it... good for boring tasks, I'm not sure about new creative stuff. Yet. I will play with it more, but I wouldn't like to be paying the bill.
