Good result in the Ship quiz last night, we won again. £190 first prize, between six of us. Including the boys so they are very pleased. My friend gave them £10 each out of his share too, very kind. Some confusion at the end when I went to pay the food bill, and it had already been paid, and wife swore she hadn't, and I didn't want anyone to get in trouble, so left my number. Turned out when we got home that she had paid, we hadn't had a tab going at all, she'd just paid when ordering. Still a nice problem to have.
Good result in the Gorton and Denton by-election, good for the Greens, good that Reform did not win it. Not so good for Labour, but Reform not winning is the main thing.
The Green Party wins the Gorton and Denton by-election - their first-ever Westminster by-election win
The Greens' Hannah Spencer becomes the new MP, with Reform in second place and Labour pushed into third
And it's pay day day today! I have ordered another Sonos roam speaker. And I have the day off, and I'm doing a tip run. What an exciting day.
Light rain and a fresh breeze, 7 - 11℃.
