Today's day off we went swimming. Just T2 and I, but it was good. To the Stour Centre in Ashford, and you can't book there now, just turn up, get a slot. So a forty-five minute wait before we could go in but we sat in the cafe. I chatted with friend at work about yesterday's issue. Forgot to fully mention this in the yesterday post, but my tea was hugely delayed as I got a work call at half five, could I help out with an incident, and that took a lot of the evening. I will get some overtime for that. The resolution has caused another problem, we knew this, it was considered the lesser of two evils. But the original problem was someone else's and the one caused by the fix is mine! I have not had to work on it yet, it might come back to me if it's ongoing past half five though. I have the day off, but am on call, so a funny situation.
Swimming was fine, we have outgrown the pool, and I didn't really remember this until we'd got there. As soon as we got in there and had a float around the lazy river there was a "code blue", everyone out of the pool. I think this is really a code brown, they have spotted a floating poo, but we were soon back in, so maybe not. We had a couple of goes on the flumes, and then more goes round the lazy river, but mostly sat and chatted, very nice.
I've just taken T2 to Subway for his lunch, am now back here writing this. I have to make a spaghetti bolognaise and go back to the shop to buy some teabags. Another relaxing day off really.
Hoping I don't get called, but not going to the pub just in case. Tomorrow though going to risk it, pub in the afternoon. Start early, finish early, be back to respond if I need to. It will be fine... Actually it ought to be fine, I am only second on call, I should not have been called.
Stonks recovered a bit yesterday from the previous weeks dumping. Not looked yet today...
