Went out for a great dinner with friends yesterday at Pomus in Folkestone. The food is mostly tapas style so we picked lots of different dishes. Only some of them I could eat so I ordered a "big plate" just for me too of roasted cauliflower with tahini, but there were also truffle potatos, carrots with almonds, tenderstem brocolli, and then things like chicken, trout, and scallops, not so much for me. Very nice food though and a nice place.
We met before this in the Dracula Parrot, the new name for Chambers. It was very quiet as we were early but I hope it's good and it does well. They're definitely pushing the alternative vibe, it is an alternative venue, lots of rock posters on the wall including one for Donington Monsters of Rock 1991. The beers are Motorhead and Iron Maiden branded too.
Going back slightly further in the day, I had walked in to Folkestone as I was ready early, and so I went in the Firkin for one too, and waited there for wife to join me, she came in sligtly later on the bus.
Taxi home, and I fell asleep in front of that new comedy with Michael Palin. He was in the TV programme that I fell asleep in front of, he was not there falling asleep with me.
Weather is grim out there today. Hope it is better this week, just booked train tickets and some games at Puttshack in London.
40Kph winds and light rain showers, 5 - 8℃.
