I mentioned tax the other day, I happened to check in and I owed some tax, from this year and last year. Finally got round to calling them. After a long wait on hold I said what I thought had happened (I had an extra payment when I got paid off from Holiday Extras and that's somehow been added as an expected payment for every year - and the adviser said yeah sorry, that sometimes happens. We'll remove that, you don't owe anything, we'll stop it happening again. Also it's gone on your tax code and you've been over paying since then anyway so you'll get that back in your next pay packet. Kerching!! No idea how much, but at least the two hundred I know I paid, plus possibly more. Nice! And on top of all this I don't owe the money they said I owed which was going to come out of the next couple of months pay.
Just about makes up for the crashing shares and price of silver.
I can celebrate / commiserate back at the Potting Shed after work today!
Light rain showers and a moderate breeze, 7 - 10℃.
