We headed into Canterbury yesterday for a full day. As soon as the shopping was put away we drove in for a day of browsing, cinema, and dinner. A bit of a bimble round the shops to start with, bought some books and some biscuits, but had a look at lots of christmassy things. Then a very slow coffee in Caffe Nero, haven't been to one of them for ages. Then a walk over to the Curzon cinema to see Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Great film in a lovely cinema experience. The seats are good there and you get service to your seat. We loved the film, a new murder mystery, a new take on the classic locked room impossible crime. Good cast, good performances, a proper puzzle, and satisfactory ending.
Then to Wagamama for tea. On a Sunday! We could have done a really early lunch but did it this way round instead. I had the new katsu udon, I think everyone had something new.
I drove, so another not drinking day, but not a not drinking night. Stayed up too late watching TV and finishing off the wine. Watched a good Nirvana documentary on the BBC, but it was really made up of chopped up other footage I'd seen in other documentaries.
Out of money for this week, so glad it is pay day this Friday. Was thinking that's annoying that I have to go to London this week, as that's another eighty or ninety quid every time... but I've already got my train ticket for this week, one of those advanced ones from ages ago. So no extra cost for me.

Guessing 2882 cups of coffee ☕️ from my espresso machine 1 probably comes to £0.89 a cup (including 3+ years supply of coffee ☕️ beans and servicing 1 but not the 'leccy).
