Went out in Cheriton last night to a restaurant that everyone has been recommending, Saurav Ki Rasoi. It's a small Indian place, perhaps more like a cafe in the day, but definitely restaurant at night. I had Mille Feuille Onion Bhajia for starter, it looked more like a dessert and was fabulous.
The wife's starter also good, looked like little spicy fererro roches or something. Then She had the vege thali and I had the vegan thali. It's not all vege, our friends had soft shell crab, pork vindaloo, and goat curry. All a bit unusual, was really good. We had some beaujolais with it, and it was lovely too. Recommended!
After we tried to go in Finn's, but it was shut. It was raining hard, properly horrible and the streets were desserted. So instead we tried The Royal Cheriton, a place we we have been too scared to go in since we've lived here, but it was fine. Really nice inside, in that overdecorated way, lots of things to look at. They had no real ale, so I won't become a regular, but it was nice. Quiet, could be the weather.
Today had a quiet day but got some jobs done. One more for the day, just ironing now, then relax in front of the TV.
Sunny and a moderate breeze, 5 - 9℃.
