Wife found the missing earbuds, I had not lost them after all. I was all ready to pay £50 for a new pair. Combine that with a saved £90 train fair this week and I am £140 up!
However...
Electrician came, an easy fix, a loose connection on the consumer unit. A two minute job but £80 plus VAT.
Also we have a new service charge bill, £510 for this year, compared to £350 for last year. Some nonsense about brown tailed moths again which I'm sure is a scam, as well as general increases everywhere. I hope someone on the estate is more knowledgeable about such things and sorts it out. We basically have to roll over and pay. Never move into a house that has a service charge..
I am no longer £140 up this week.
Thundery showers and a moderate breeze, 14 - 21℃.
