Weather has changed today, it's still warm and dry, but really really windy! I have managed to go out for three short walks today along the beach. Lovely and quiet now, it's been heaving out there for days.
Today I called Trooli back for the umpteenth time. Got through to a different person this time, I've spoken to the same person three times at least before. This one didn't sound helpful at first, I'll do some tests and call you back in ten minutes... They actually did call me back, maybe an hour later, and said yeah there's something wrong with your connection. This is the first time at least they've admitted there's something wrong. They're sending out an engineer at last! It's been nearly four weeks, and they've been awful about this so far. It could still be bad, they've said if the reason the connection is down is my fault somehow I have to pay.
I looked into YouFibre, they're not in our area yet.
Other things that got moving, the guy came from Wickes to measure up our bathroom. It's still going to be a week and a half before we hear anything back. But at some point, we might have a working bathroom again.
Moving thing three, the garage called me back about the beetle. They have it up on the ramps, it needs brakes, I said yeah let's do it. They said, ok, what brakes, do you know? No I don't know. They couldn't tell what model of beetle it was, is there any chance it's a 1302 or 1303? As if they order the wrong brakes it's money wasted. I said I can tell you it's a 1300 and regular parts for that for that year should be great. These are not expensive parts anyway. Sounds like I could get it back again this week. Do I really want it back though..?
Clare is suppose to be in court this week, but has been stood down for another day. We're really hoping she never gets called. She's a witness, of course, not the accused.
We're watching TV, on a mobile phone hot spot. Well, trying to. The TV is connected wirelessly to someone's phone and we can use that to try and watch Netflix (House, it just worked) or iplayer (Ghosts US, and currently not working).
Work good, but busy. I'll be back in London this week, and paying full whack on the train for the privelege.
