We had a great time on Saturday. I got up a bit late and did not go to parkrun, but still a good day, We all had the day free and thought we'd have one of our big days out. But where? We had enjoyed Whitstable and Sandwich recently, and were considering Deal, but didn't really want to travel too far. Then we remembered we live in a lovely seaside town, so why not have our day out here?
T2 remembered he had a birthday party to go to so we had to factor that in.
We walked via Sandgate to Folkestone, but not the usual obvious places, we avoided the town centre completely. We had a lovely lunch in Burrito Buoy which left us bloated for the rest of the day. Then to The Dugout, the bar at Folkestone Invicta football club, where we played pool and darts. We dropped T2 to his party, which turned out to be going back to the fair, then more darts and pool, and home via Sandgate again and The Ship Inn.
Good step count, even without the parkrun. I need to get back to the running soon.
Higher priority is sorting Glastonbury packing though.
