Blog2025 ≫ Step count good yesterday

Running and then walking, I got in quite a of exercise. So much so that Mario is jumping right through some of the text. It would not be a good use of my day to recode this so this can't happen though, would it..?

Saturdays and Thursdays are my best days for walking. Saturdays because I have the time, and Thursdays because I have to walk to and from work (to and from the station anyway).

I did phone up about the beetle again, can't remember if I updated or not. The garage do still have it, they will get round to it.

Not going to get much exercise today, unless it is running up and down the stairs. I'm hanging our washing out on the balcony as it's such a nice day, this is the best exercise I will get today. It is burning energy for me and saving electrical energy.

Time for another coffee though. Surely that is getting my heart rate up making me burn more calories? Dave shared his "active calorie burn" yesterday, and it was nearly 3000 for the day because of eight hours work in his garden. My active calorie burn from my walk and run was about half that. I will keep an eye on this, haven't really watched this number before. My normal work day is about 300, though you then burn another 1700 or so just by normal moving / breathing / etc. I should set a calorie burn target rather than a step count. A calorie burn target that I do not meet, rather than a step count target I do not meet.

Sunny and a moderate breeze, 11 - 20℃.

Estimated 2472 cups of coffee from my espresso machine 1 probably comes to £0.93 a cup (including 3+ years of coffee beans and servicing 1 but not the 'leccy).
