Blog2025 ≫ Back to work

Back into the world of work. Both working from home worked fine, Clare worked upstairs and I worked downstairs, in my cave. Caught up on all my messages and hardly broke anything. Actually achieved as much as could be expected I think.

Bought my train ticket for my next commute, as I heard my friend got a return journey for less than forty quid. This is half price! These advanced tickets are great! I couldn't get quite that price but did get mine for forty-four pounds. This is quite the saving a) on my normal eighty quid cheapest journey, and b) even a saving on these advanced semi-season tickets that Clare is looking at. It's a risk and a gamble for the future days, will there be a cheap ticket available on the day I need it? Is it worth hanging on hoping to get one of these or commit to the eight in andvance? It's all the excitement of the lottery with probably better returns.
