And this isn't making things any more interesting. We went to the school for the A-Level open evening, and spoke to some of T1's teachers. We did get some useful info, that he's ok to do the topics he wants, and he probably just needs to do maths and not further maths for the university courses that he wants. He was tempted by double maths, because if he does that and completes it he technically gets four a-levels, and other than that little wangle the school will only let him do three. Better to just do maths, get a good grade in that, rather than trying to spread himself too thinly.
