I've never cooked samphire before, but steamed it with the brocolli, over a pan of boiling peas. Three different veg cooked over one pot, efficient. The samphire is salty but delicious. It was a good accompaniment along with some leeks to the (vegan) shepherds pie I made. The samphire and the leeks were free from the Tesco bin food run, and I got some free bread too.
Good story.
