OK I know nearly done is not the same as done (and done is not even the same as done done) but these really are in progress now... I've had three hanging around my task list for a long time. First, new running shoes, been hanging round about a year. My good running shoes are getting worn out, they're harder on my feet, the soles are getting flatter. This version has not been as comfortable as the previous versions of the same shoes anyway, but I've stuck with them. Finally just ordered a new pair, the up to date equivalent of the same shoe. I saw some in the running shop in Canterbury yesterday but it was too busy to try them on. I know what I want and what size I am, so just pulled the trigger, and have some new On Running Cloudflyers on the way.
Second is replace the socket in the study. I have a smart socket in there, it's a good looking one, but never really been that smart. I really do like those where the remote control bit is inside, so it looks like a normal socket in the wall, but you can control it remotely and have all the home automation smarts. It looks better than having an extra thing plugged into the socket that your devices then plug in to. However these often aren't quite as good, and often the socket is completely hidden anyway. So for example behind the washing machine and behind the dryer I have these energy monitoring plugs 1 and you can't see them, you'd not know they were there. And my socket for the computer etc in the study that I want to replace is hidden behind the bureau anyway. And now I find I want more sockets, so I'm going for this triple smart outlet extension lead 1. I'll replace the socket, put an ordinary one back in, plug that into it, and it'll all be behind the bureau. Job done. Or will be done. When it arrives and when I fit it.
I can't remember what third is right now, as I started writing the above this morning before we went out, and now I'm back, and my task list on the google calendar is not loading.
I don't think third was "oil the treadmill", but I've done that now too! So possibly done four things off my @todo list.
We went to Ashford, Clare did not see a better coat, nor the new coat reduced at the outlet, so she's keeping that one.
I have new jobs to do now, I have to change the water filter on the coffee machine, but higher priority I have to make tonight's diner. I have a good headstart on that, I put half last week's shepherd's pie in the freezer, so we're having that. Maybe some roast veg to go with it, will decide after the Tesco bin food run in a bit.
Estimated 2234 cups of coffee from my espresso machine 1 probably comes to £0.96 a cup (including 3+ years of coffee beans and now servicing 1 so not the 'leccy).
