After the excitement of the morning I mostly did cooking, and twitting about with this website. I made the vegan potato and pea salad and ate half of it for lunch, and very nice it was too. Then I made a shepherds pie for tea, which we're having with brocolli, spinach, and brussels sprouts. Then I went to Tesco for the Sunday afternoon bin food run and I got some more free vegetables, some bread, and some "Vadasz hot and sweet jalapeno relish". Been wanting to try this for a while but it's normally quite expensive. Not today, it was free! It's a big old jar of pickled chilis, not bad.
The veges I got are a bit annoying, they're "finest" roast carrots, beetroot, and onion. They come in a foil tray, but you can't cook them in the foil tray, you have to shake them out on to another tray. They do have a pomegranite drizzle, could be nice.
Light rain and a gentle breeze, 6 - 8℃.
