Blog2024 ≫ Back down to one problem again

Ventilation specialist came, he thinks our problem is all ventilation based, and there's no leak. They're going to give us a quote for putting in a new extractor fan in the en-suite, going out through the wall. They can do this from the inside, so don't need scaffolding. Then they will also fit a new extractor fan in the main bathroom - the current one is turned off and goes nowhere anyway 🙀 but somehow we don't have a problem there. Then that new one will be connected to the roof vent that is now unused by the en-suite. The new extractors will be powerful enough to suck the moisture out and up through the roof, the current one just was not.

So no need for a roofer and no need for scaffolding! We're quids in!

Don't actually have the cost for this job yet, but we assumed we'd need this plus the roof and the scaffolding, so all good. Maybe we will have a holiday next year.

Maybe we will have a christmas holiday this year..?
