After the delicious Thai food we had on holiday Clare booked us a "back from holiday but still in denial" Thai meal. In Cheriton, sort of Cheriton, between us and Cheriton, near the tip, where there is very little. It's called Daow's Kitchen, and it's more like a cafe but it was really good.
It's small, about five tables maybe? But the food was great. They were able to cater for our "can this be vegan?" and "can you do this without peanuts?" queries, and it's license for booze (though I was not drinking) and it's very reasonably priced. We had spring rolls and satay to start, then three different curries, a stir fry, and an amazing mango salad for a main. Definitely going here again to try other dishes.
It doesn't look much from the outside and is not in a fancy part of town, but it is great. Fun fact, the bathroom is outside! Well, you have to go out the front of the cafe again and round to another door at the side. It's to the left of that picture there with "number 3" written on it.
Up early still using my free Octopus Energy 1. I woke up about quarter to six when T2 got up noisily to use the loo. He then also got up as he couldn't sleep. I hope he's up this early for school on Tuesday.
Going to be a very hot day here today. Relatively hot. I can hang the rest of the washing out on the balcony when the free energy is over.
Sunny and a gentle breeze, 17 - 25℃.
