Blog2024 ≫ Prime pubbing time...

Just back from a day in Canterbury, this would have been a great time to go to the pub. Clare even offered to drop me off in Sandgate, I could go and see some old friends from the Inn Doors days. But I just don't quite feel like it. It's a nice day, I'm a bit tired, so just going to have a quiet sit at home. Must be getting old.

Our night in last night was good, just the boys and I watching Guardians Of The Galaxy and eating pizza. Clare was out at the quiz in Winchelsea, she came back about bedtime. She did not win the quiz, they came second.

Today we did a fairly spontaneous day in Canterbury. The boys were short of trousers yesterday, T1 just did not have a pair that were not in the wash. T2's were actually short, riding up his shins. So we drove in, looked around for lunch ideas, bought two pairs of trousers, and settled on Cosy Club for lunch. I've looked through the window a few times, looked good, and it was. I did not realise it was a chain, there is one in Portsmouth also. There are a lot around the country. It's in a sort of Edwardianish pub style, and the food was good. I had Massaman cauliflower for a starter and then a vegan "cheese" burger. Clare and T2 had the buttermilk chicken, and T1 had a flat iron steak.

A quick look in Canterbury wholefoods, bought some food and drinks, then also a browse in Fenwicks. I bought some new reading glasses.

Sunny and a fresh breeze, 8 - 15℃.
