Blog2024 ≫ Another day of hot-spotting

Worked all day from my phone today (well, laptop connected to hotspot on phone) and it worked OK. Just a couple of hiccups. It uses a lot of power being a hotspot so the phone battery ran down fast, and then disconnected. Apart from that, worked successfully. And the Trooli engineer is coming in the morning which ought to fix it.

The cold came out properly today, felt a bit crap first thing but think it's on its way now. I don't usually have colds for long. It might be just a temporary reprieve because of the lemsip, or it might really be gone.

This phone and my mobile data contract is getting a proper workout today. I've turned off the work laptop but connected again now to post this. Also T1 has connected the XBox to it to game for a bit, and we'll probably do the same for the TV later.

Football on TV was quite good yesterday, Manchester United vs Liverpool on actual terrestrial TV. Of course I am all over the football again at the moment because Portsmouth are doing so well. Just need another seven points I think to get promoted. PUP!

Have put in my claim for being on call the other day, that will come in handy. And I realise that while I'm on call for most of the bank holiday weekend, I'm only actually on call up to 9am Monday morning. So I can still have a bank holiday day out.

That will do for today, don't want to use unnecessary bandwidth.

Light cloud and a gentle breeze, 9 - 13℃.
