Blog2024 ≫ No Parkrun!

Went straight from a fairly busy work day to The Potting Shed yesterday, and stayed until it closed at nine. A lovely evening. Would have got there a bit earlier but I tried to get a bus, as one looked to be due. Then two buses just disappeared from the schedule, so I started walking. Then those two buses sailed past me moments later. No-one has ever made an observation about waiting for buses like this before. I got salad and chips in pitta for a late tea after the pub, and walked home.

Watched more Slow Horses on TV when I got in, but I might have to watch that episode again...

I was tired before I even went out yesterday, and didn't want to risk our big walk to Dover today so decided to skip Parkrun. However the plan for the big walk to Dover has changed, because the weather has been so bad. We're definitely going to skip the cross country parts of the walk and get the bus at least part of the way, possibly getting the bus all the way and just spending some time in Dover. Some time in pubs in Dover of course, though I'm not sure there are that many worth going to. Definitely getting some food though I hear controversially the plan is for an Italian rather than an Indian. Will be good whatever.

Clare and the boys are out today, doing their own things.

Light rain showers and a fresh breeze, 1 - 8℃.
