Blog ≫ 2024 ≫ Wet day in London
Early start, commuting to London. I slept long, but not well last night. I went to bed about half eight, I was so tired, and I woke up tired again. Dreamt of ghosts. Trying to hang pictures on the wall, nails wouldn't stay in, turns out because there were ghost nails already there, that I could only see in a mirror. It's fine.
Busy train to work, busier than I have seen it. I did get a table, a bit squeezed in though. People still trying to reserve a seat next to them. I'm not having that.
Wet walk to the office, then a busy day at the office. Head down on calls all day, not very effective use of being in the office. Not an effective place to do calls like that either, particularly as I'd taken my old headset out of my bag and couldn't get my bluetooth earbuds pairing with the laptop. I had a plan to use my old bluetooth earbuds for the laptop, so I can keep my good earbuds connected to the phone with no messing. Well turns out there was some messing as the other earbuds wouldn't connect. So I had to move from stand up desk to kitchen table to do my calls so as to not disturb people. And I disturbed people anyway. I had miso aubergine for lunch, and then I got wet again on the way home. The day was not a complete wash out (beer news to follow).
The boys had been delivered home before I got here, full of mcdonalds. Wife followed us in not too much later. Just time for me to put some samosas in the Ninja, as I didn't have anythings. Wife had a ready meal and that's our evening pretty much done.
Missed out on some free Octopus Energy today 1, it was free this morning and no-one was here to use it.
Gusty winds and light rain, 3 - 9℃.
