In order to get someone else at work to use a thing I had made, and stop them trying to rebuild from scratch, I had to make some changes. And, no time to do this in the day, so I thought I'd do it last night. And it took me five hours and it's still not quite ready. It's a really useful script, that I already mentioned, that automates some of the admin we have to do. I want to learn how to implement it into other parts of our system, parts that I need to learn about, so I have to make my bit as flexible as possible. There has been a bit of an attitude of "that looks like it couldn't work so I'll do something else to work around it" instead of just trying it and seeing that it does work, but I think eventually everyone is coming round to it.
No commuting today, because I've go that extra commuting thing to Welwyn Garden City tomorrow. It will be fine, I'm going up at lunchtime, so that's good. The only awkward bit will be just as it's getting started at 5pm I'll be ducking out to come home again. Clare's working and I need to collect the boys again asap. With the best of efforts I'm not going to be back until 8pm anyway. At least I will have shown my face. I can't really say "shown willing", but I'll be there.
Febrewery is on hold for this week, and last month's exercise seems a long way off. I remembered the plank though and extended my time!
