Blog2024 ≫ Quiet day in Canterbury

Went to Canterbury to return Clare's christmas party dress that she didn't wear. I think she wanted to wear it but when she showed us two outfits the boys and I independently chose the other one. I think she preferred this one but then wouldn't wear it. So, good news, I bought this one so the money comes back to me! I looked round Fenwicks but nothing else for me to buy. Also looked round Lakeland, kind of tempted by one of these electric throws, a modern take on an old lady electric blanket. You cna put it in the washing machine. Would it be good for my chair when I'm at work and it's cold and I'm tempted to put the heating on? Would it be immediately takend and argued over by the kids? Is it the wrong time of year to be getting one? Can't figure out the difference between the cheaper and more expensive versions, is it just that brown is an unpopular colour? That sounds like the reason for me to get one.

We had lunch in Veg Box Cafe and then came home again.

Tried and failed with some DIY when I got back. Trying to pair some of the GU10 bulbs again, but failing, can't seem to reset them. So I'm still missing a bulb in T1's room. I did go back out to Wickes, return the shower head I bought that I do not need (so another refund) but spent that on some Really Useful boxes. I am admitting defeat and packing away the Terry Pratchett books I left in his room. Neither of the boys will read them yet, they are quite stubborn and have closed their minds to the idea.
