Blog2024 ≫ Winter holiday to Marrakech part 3 - first full day in the hotel

Wednesday 27th December was our first full day at the hotel. We had all been tired the night before and so slept in. We slept so late we missed breakfast! We knew the schedule of the day was breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, with maybe a half hour gap between them? And the bars open all day so we'll be ok. Second breakfast was "only" pastries, so nothing for me but not long until lunch.

It was only a short walk from our room to the main entertainment centre and the pool. Here's the view from the edge of the accomodation across the pool.

The rest of the day was lunch, swimming, sunbathing, drinks, pool, dinner.

The food was very good, if the vege options were slightly similar each day. There were several tagines on, salad bar, bread bar, a vegetarian section (usually with ratatouille and other trays of grilled veges), then huge ranges of meat, and a cook to order section. Also there was a pizza oven outside and a snack bar by it where the boys would get inbetween-meals burgers and popcorn. There was a food theme each night with specialities (French, Spanish, Moroccan, International) but some common features each day. I did not eat sensibly, I got two huge plates of food at least at every meal.

Rage against the tagines

After, the others were tired and went back, and I watched the live music in the bar, and then went to the Bollywood show on my own. The entertainment team were very good and put on shows each day.
