Blog2023 ≫ Christmas Eve pub

Not the Delme, which I like to think is a tradition still even though no-one does it. Not the Inn Doors like I have done for the past few years. Instead we took a walk down to The Ship in Sandgate, and it was very busy and jolly! There were even some big parties having a big dinner, who is doing this on christmas eve? Saw some friends and neighbours in there. We had a couple of drinks and tried to teach the boys to play cribbage, not sure how successful that was.

Was very windy on our walk to the pub, and while it blew us nicely to Sandgate, we got the bus back. Not coldthough, climate change, possibly the warmest christmas eve ever.

41Kph winds and thick cloud, 11 - 12℃.

I have done a big old cook up of leftover food, but before christmas, slightly odd. Basically Clare has measured out all of the food that we need for christmas, we have pre-cooked what we can so as to make tomorrow go smoothly. Then there were leftovers so I've done roast vegetables in the Ninja, and then a sausage casserole too. Looking good, partly it is for my tea, and then I will freeze some portions for lunches.

All this on the free energy too, four hours of free energy today, and then also four hours tomorrow, just when we'll be cooking the christmas lunch. Nice. Sign up here to get in on the act1, and we both earn £50 too.

Merry christmas to anyone reading this, probably won't update for a few days after this.
