Went in to London yesterday, normal work in the morning, and then off to a social event in the afternoon. Felt a strange and unfamiliar event, but our team has recently been moved to another "value stream".
There was no booze, but they were all heading to a cocktail bar at five. I made my excuses and left (had the car, cannot have a cocktail), and walked from Soho where the event was, back to Kings Cross.
I had time for a cheeky pint of mild in the Euston Tap before my train. That is a great little bar, seven cask ales on (two of them low alcohol, handy for today) and another nineteen keg. And only £4.40 a pint, in London!
Sunny and light winds, 4 - 9℃.
