Blog2023 ≫ Christmas has started

Went for the friends christmas dinner last night at The Bouverie Tap, and it was great! We met up on the bus and went first to The Firkin Alehouse for one, as we thought the Bouverie Tap would be packed solid and we'd have no time to loiter before our table. When we got there it wasn't that busy, our table was ready for us.

I saw Chris and Liz from Chambers at the bar, nice to chat, to talk about what trail blazers we were. Shame to hear that they're leaving, after twenty-five years of waiting for Folkestone to become what it now has.

Our dinner was good, they did an off-menu starter of stuffed mushroom for me, then a massive roast dinner. A root vegetable pie with roast potatoes and loads of veg. We had wine, and wore the hats from our crackers. I even had a pud, they did a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, all vegan.

We got the last bus back out of Folkestone, a wonderful time having been had by all.

Work was busy again today. No incident or anything to deal with but some work coming up with some end of year numbers.

Drizzle and a moderate breeze, 6 - 9℃.
