Blog2023 ≫ Reasonably productive day in Stratford

Well it was a nice day anyway, and we got a few things we needed. T2 got his Lego Star Wars advent calendar anyway, they had loads of them. Clare got a new dress for her christmas party, and we had a lovely lunch in The Cow, carpaccio of beetroot, squash, and something with rocket and vegan feta as a starter, nice but a bit dainty. Then we both had vegeburger and chips for main. Good but not cheap.

On the way back we stopped in Tap East, the real ale microbrewery bar at our end of the shopping sender, near the station. Clare had a pick of all the kinds of beers she liked, they gave her a sample of all of them. I had a half of white porter, never had it before, was very good.

Now back and eaten again in time to watch Great British Bake Off.
