Crikey cold this morning. Up early, took Clare to work with the boys so we could keep the car. Planning to leave the car at her work while I did parkrun, but it was so cold I nearly got back in the car again and drove home. Instead forced myself out. We went to Starbucks first to get more breakfast for them and a triple shot coffee for me. Normally we'd go to Costa at this point but fancied a change. Not sure it was better.
Parkrun was very cold. Got there just as it as starting, so a slow start for me coming up from the back, but actually quicker than I have been the last two weeks.
Folkestone parkrun results for event #410. Your time was 00:26:32.
Congratulations on completing your 138th parkrun and your 125th at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 109th place and were the 90th Male out of a field of 271 parkrunners and you came 13th in your age category VM50-54. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Your best time this year remains 00:23:24.
Still a long way off my good times.
After this a walk around town, then home. A little gaming time for the boys, and then soup for lunch, and then to Ashford. I hate Ashford at the best of times and this was not the best of times. I was expecting it to be busy, but the boys really wanted Haribo advent calendars and this is the only place to get them. Quite a queue along the road approaching the outlet, but hopefully a good sign, lots of cars coming out. No not actually a good sign, we drove into the outlet, diverted as expected to the overflow carpark but when we got there diverted right back again, no space to be had, see you later. Drove home again. About an hour wasted there. How can there be no room??
A shop at Tesco, some things for tea today and tomorrow and lunch tomorrow, and then dropped the car back to Clare again. She dropped me part way home, walked the rest and here I am.
It's nice looking out, but so cold. Even colder now the sun has gone in.
Sunny and a moderate breeze, 0 - 5℃.
Estimated 1408 cups of coffee from my espresso machine1 probably comes to £1.15 a cup (including actual coffee and now servicing1 so not the 'leccy).
