Missed out on the first grab at Glastonbury tickets, those bundled with coach travel. At one minute past six I was still getting this:
The service was unavailable, a hundred billion punters all trying to hit the site at once. Then at three minutes past I was in:
In the queue, and that's how it stayed, refreshing every twenty seconds until about forty-four minutes past when it changed to this:
No such event, so all the initial tickes with coach sold out. I will try again on Sunday when the tickets without coach go on sale.
Turns out Clare did know about it, even though she doesn't read this. I had set a reminder in the shared calendar.
Today in 1996 I was at David Devant And His Spirit Wife, the only recorded gig at Camden Falcon in my gigography possibly, though I would have gone to loads there surely. And then five years ago today The Blockheads, in Dover. Minus Ian Dury but with Topper Headon from The Clash.
Paul Clarkeʼs blog - I live in Hythe in Kent. Married to Clare + father to two, I am a full-stack web engineer, and I do mostly js / nodejs, some ruby, python, php ect ect.
