Blog ≫ 2023 ≫ Big Sunday gig day out part 1 - the train

OK start it quietly and boringly and with no help from the bank statement here as I'd bought train tickets the day before. Clare went out to pump class and just before she came back I left the boys in gaming and took the beetle up to the station. Found a good free parking spot, even closer than I can get on a commuting day. I wonder now if I might have got one of the prime spots the other side of the station. Maybe not though, as the train when it came was very busy. Sunday a popular day to go to London.

Met Andy at Kings Cross and we are off to our first pub! I thought we'd stop and get a cup of tea here. We were heading to another part of town though, were he had a hotel to check in to. His instinct was to get an Uber, as he is flash, but I said probably as quick to get the tube and we'd need the tube later. So we're off to Maida Vale.
