Blog2023 ≫ Speaking of a freeze

Earlier I said code freeze, but it has actually felt cold in the house the past twenty-four hours. I wondered if I'd set the thermostat too low but it looks about right. Just warmer in the lounge than it is upstairs I think.

Weather is still quite bad out there, a lot of rain, I saw quite a lot of flooding at the weekend. It's only temporary round here though, they must have had a lot of it. We get a mini lake across the road in a couple of places and then when it stops it drains away again. There's another named storm on the way when this one has not quite gone yet. Goodbye Babet1, hello Ciarán.

Is it time for my joke about naming these storms only encouraging them again yet?
