Blog2023 ≫ I have voluntarily written some Typescript in my own time

Hmm that was novel. I have been anti-typescript always but they are very keen on it at work, everyone seems to love it, am I missing something? So I'm putting some effort into it. I am writing the new work "dashboards as code" thing using typescript. And not just by naming the files .ts and allowing any types for everything, but still trying to keep it as light as possible. I will report back with how I get on.

Day three of not drinking. I'm not "not drinking" but this is worth noting as I deliberately didn't drink at all on Sunday, and I'd normally spend as much of Sunday as possible in the pub.

Looking forward to my next visit to the pub actually, but not drinking at home in the meantime. I went for a walk after work today and The Famous Ship Inn in Sandgate is looking GOOD! Actually looking forward to visiting it. Friends went there on Saturday night but I did not, and then I saw one of them on Sunday and he says it's good. Real ale on at £4.50 a pint so that's not bad. So when can I go? Maybe to the Potting Shed after work on Friday and then back to Sandgate after.

Also on today's walk I saw the old baby portrait studio has a licence application notice up. It's going to be a deli with license to serve alcohol sitting down with food. Sandgate is full of lovely places at the moment.
