Been for a couple of walks through Sandgate, yesterday and today lunchtime and the interior of The Famous Ship Inn is being completely remodelled. Interesting to see what they do with it. Will hopefully be a really nice pub, I hope the beer stays good and doesn't go "only craft". Their real ale was generally quite good if a bit lacking in variety. It will be a flagship venue for the area, but it won't feel like "mine" like the Inn Doors did or The Potting Shed mostly does.
