Blog2023 ≫ London day done

Work went fine today. We did a workshop playing with Lego in the morning, then my usual falafal wrap lunch from Leather Lane. Continued the workshop and another session in the afternoon, then a walk to Oxford Street and Boom Battle Bar. I only played the darts, but the shuffleboard looked good. It is a lot more like curling than I thought, some quite satisfying movement of the pieces. A huge long board, sprinkled with sand, and a nice camber on it to make you feel you are doing a very skillful move. I thought it was basically shove-ha'penny but it's a more complicated version. No-one hanging around drinking after so got the train home again about half six and drove the beetle back. Saves me having to pick it up tomorrow, though that would have been a good excuse for a run.

Found out we don't have to go into the office next week, we have a virtual day, and then the next week the office is closed. However there is talk of us going in to the Welwyn Garden City office that week. Going to try and avoid that!
