I tried to make this joke in our work stand-up this morning, it nearly worked.
I was heading off to Phoenix festival this day in 1996, after quite a late night. The night before I went to see Tiger at the Joiners in Southampton, must have gone on my bike on the train. On the way home I missed the last train and had no lights (had the recently been stolen?) and so tried to ride home but got stopped by the police. They told me to get off and walk. From Southampton. Back to Portchester. They would not give me a lift.
