Blog2023 ≫ Friday day off 3. The Fox And Anchor

We were headed to a particular pub but for some reason stopped in at this one, I think one of the party recommended it. They did not make us that welcome at this place, they said we could not stand up and drink. It's a bit more refined really. Nice looking interior, and nice beer though.

Looks like they have rooms to let1, might be interesting, I bet it's not cheap though. I think someone said this place used to be open twenty-four hours a day when the market was running.

Welcome to the Fox & Anchor

Honoured on the edge of Smithfield Market, a 5 minute walk to Barbican and Farringdon tube stations, The Fox & Anchor is in the beating heart of London. Picture low beams, wooden paneling and candlelight, creating a magical escape from the city where you must take full advantage of our hearty seasonal menu. Sit back and relax over a pint of Young’s whilst tucking into our famous City Boy Breakfast or renowned market cuts from infamous butchers, Godfrey’s.

Make a night of it and wonder up to one of our six boutique bedrooms above the pub, the perfect home-from-home on your business trip or weekend getaway.

Another long tall picture, of the Fox And Anchor, Farringdon
