Blog2023 ≫ Guns'n'Roses so so

We did watch Guns'n'Roses at Glastonbury on TV after our dinner last night, and we thought it was only so-so. They are in their sixties now, and some of it was alright, but the sound wasn't good, especially the vocals. I think they played too long too, though I suppose they have to provide some value as the headliner.

I didn't say much about our dinner out yesterday, it was good. Sunshine is a nice place, though it is a slightly odd place among the old ladyish boutiques of Hythe. It acts like a proper trendy bar, and it is a nice destination. We did have cocktails before our dinner too. The boys had mocktails, one was a cheeky monkey (a lot of banana in it) and one was a virgin raspberry mojito. Mine was a "cherry bum bum" with Jack Daniels and something or other in it. Most of their cocktails contained egg white, they don't make much concession to vegans there.

The food was also good, much the same as we had last time. Clare really likes the chicken salad, and I can only eat one or two of the mains so I had the falafel wrap again. The boys shared a mixed grill, very meaty.

Got a lot to report for Sunday, we have fitted a lot in.
