To London today, for a team day at work. It was good to get together, and I had an old school falafel wrap lunch from the original place that I don't know the name of. I did look in Balady, where I've been going the past few weeks but the price of a wrap had gone up to ELEVEN QUID. That is a lot. I had a large spicy falafal wrap for six quid, and it was very nice.
After we'd finished our workshops and talks we headed off to Flight Club, down in Victoria, rather than Bloomsbury as I'd originally thought. Nice looking place, decorated with old fairground stuff. The stairs up to the venue are a helter skelter. We had three oches booked for the whole team for about ninety minutes I think. I was rubbish at darts, much worse than I was expecting. The games were good though, you didn't actually need to be good, and I won the first game of "demolition". This was a nice easy down from 180. You had to finish exactly, but not on a double. Then we played a "dolphin derby" kind of thing and some other games. I nursed one Sol beer, and did get some food. All the food there is vegetarian, or at least all the food they brought us, and some of it is vegan.
My train home from St Pancras was delayed, and I had to change, and then the connecting train was delayed too so they sort of compensated. Still didn't get home until eight o'clock.
Haven't checked in on actual work. Our go live planned for today was luckily delayed by a couple of weeks. It'll all be back to full speed tomorrow.
I have paid the money for the crib wall, because my two nearest neighbours got nervous and also paid. I'm disappointed in myself for not being stronger and holding out. But I did have the cash to hand, so it's not too bad.
Clare and the boys are watching Father Ted. Again. It'll be one episode of Modern Family next, and then bed.
