Lovely bank holiday Monday. Clare went to pump class again but I did not. Received he supermarket delivery, and dropped the boys off at grandpa's. Then with our free day we took a walk into Hythe looking for food. Hythe was very quiet, most places seem to be closed, including the two cafe type jobs I had in mind. Sunshine was open though, and we had a lovely lunch in there. Clare had chicken salad and I had falafel wrap with a starter of samphire, something a bit different. I had the Turkish white wine too which was also very good.
Next Clare walked home and I met some friends in the Three Mariners. We had a few pints in the garden, and then one more inside when it got a bit cooler. The weather mostly worked well for us over the weekend. It stayed lovely and sunny when it had been forcast to rain. Rain properly came down that night though.
This morning, up early, everyone rushing. Boys to school, and Clare off to start a long training course. She could not find her keys on the way out of the door, so took mine. Then all day we were puzzling over where they could be. In my head of course someone had taken them from our house and were only biding their time to come back and steal our car, and our house, and murder us.
We turned the house upside down when Clare got in and still nothing.
When T1 came in from football, he had the keys in his pocket.
As a little bonus bonus though, to pay me back from feeling relieved the keys are not lost, T1 has lost his best hoodie again. He took it too football and left it there, basically just on the ground in a field. Then his friend said "it's in the car", so we did not go back to look for it. Now he's heard back again, and no it's not in the car, so we're heading out to look for it. In the dark.
Also Clare spoke to two of the neighbours, one of them has already paid their share of the crib wall. The other was thinking of not paying it, like I was, until they spoke to this neighbour. We're going to try and get one more update from the other neighbours.
I have not got the guttering cleared yet, too incredibly busy at work, but have found someone to do it.
In to London tomorrow, and I could do without that now. It should be partly a fun day, we're off to play darts at 3pm, but it's a hassle before that. I've had to book T2 into breakfast club, which costs money and he doesn't enjoy. Then I've had to pay for parking and leave the car down by the school so I've got a chance of getting the train. Then I'm going to be in a rush and miss the start of this event anyway. Commuting is such a hassle, even if I do only have to do it once in a blue moon.
