Blog2023 ≫ Dinner at the Radnor Arms

Had a lovely evening in playing games and watching TV yesterday, some scrabble and some trivial pursuits and then some Have I Got News For You on TV. We had a lot more of the coronation on TV than I was expecting, but good apart from that. I made a pasta dish in the Ninja that went ok, and ate it with lots of garlic bread and wine.

This morning, back to pump class again. It's hard every time, which must be good. I'm aching all over but I can just about raise my arms which is good as a) I need that arm lifting for beer and b) also I'm playing darts with work this week. Hope the arms are fully recovered before that.

We had a lovely lunch in the Radnor Arms. Menu not quite what we expected from reading online, it must have been a sample menu, and they actually change it all the time. Clare and T2 had roast chicken, T1 had a pizza (that he did not really get on with), Dad had pork belly roast dinner, Mum had "carrot wellington" roast dinner, a sort of pasty made of finely chopped carrot and things. Very nice. I had roast cauliflower tacos from the bar menu, which were very nice but I could have done with a fuller dinner. The beer I had with it was very good, "Three Legged IPA", and then I had a pudding too, a vegan chocolate tart with raspberry sorbet and honeycomb.

After dinner they headed home, Clare dropped me at the Potting Shed. Much of the talk there was about The Inn Doors and The Ship, but a very nice quick drink there. It closes about four-ish on a Sunday.

Tonight we will watch Race Across The World, think we're nearly at the end, and that will make us think about holidays. It has been a holidayish sort of day really, the weather much better than expected. The sea has been very calm, and it's been very warm in the sun.

Mum and Dad have paid for us to have our gutters cleared, so I'd better book that.

I got a second demand for the money for the collapsed crib wall, still ignoring that one for now though.
