Blog2023 ≫ Less busy, less productive day

Had to head out this morning to feed father in law's cat, so I started work early. Left the boys here, drove over to his, fed cat, had two short standups (meetings) on my laptop and drove back. The boys have been gaming pretty much all day.

We had good lunches today, the boys had sausage rolls and veges and I had a "creamy" mushroom pasty (vegan of course) all done in the Ninja. Such a treat to have a tasty hot meal at lunchtime.

I had more meetings most of the day, hence less productive. This code freeze is causing all my work to back up. Tuesday is going to be a busy day of pushing loads of code live. Then to end my slightly slow day I got to finish early at 4.30, happy holidays!

Just went out for a walk with the boys, they would not go too far but we walked along the seafront. You couldn't call it a nice day, there's been a lot of rain and it's grey and cold, but the sea was looking calm and you can see there are patches of blue sky in the distance. Waiting for Clare to come in and I think I'll take a stroll down to the Potting Shed.

If Clare's feeling up to it we're going to pump class again in the morning, and then we've got cinema tickets in Dover tomorrow. The roads around Dover are backing up again because of the brexit related delays at the port so I think we're going to get the train instead of driving. Then when we get back hopefully to a beer festival!
