Blog2023 ≫ Doubly did not burn the house down

Triple ninja cooking today. I did a pasty for lunch, and then made some arrabiata sauce for tomorrow. Then we went out, and while it had finished, I had not turned it off. It had been on pressure cooker, and I'm 95% sure it shuts itself down when it is finished, gradually releasing steam. Also before we went out I had put the heated drying rack on, because T1 needed trousers washed and dried for tomorrow.

We went out, visiting friends, tried their Peloton bike. Clare is convinced that she wants one so we'll have to work out what can go out in order to get that in. And then work out the paying for it too. Nice to see the friends too.

We got home again and neither the drying rack nor the Ninja cooker had set fire to the house, which was nice.

I'm doing my third ninja cook of the day now, some baked potatoes for tea. This is the first time of me cooking them for Clare. She thinks it can't be as good as doing them in the oven, I say yes, definitely, and in less than half the time and energy. The pressure is quite literally on. I bet the oven's going on anyway to cook one piece of chicken for her, damn it.

A quiet night tonight, catch up on Beyond Paradise. Then tomorrow school for the boys, work (from home) for me, and a run of late shifts for Clare.
